New Sketches!

Hello all.

I'm a little late in getting new work to you but I do have some sketches to show you.

I just started a new art blog, with a scant three entries, but more entries will arrive soon.

The first entry you'll see, after a nearly non-existent scroll, is the one I wanted to share with you tonight. It's the first time I've shared a pre-color sketch for an in-progress work. HERE

There may be one or two people out there that might recognize the bottom "painting", it is of Old St. Mary's church which is in Nicasio, not far from THE Ranch.

What makes little churches like that so special is they are contrasted against a mostly nature background setting. You could almost believe that you've gone back in time a step or two.

I've also gathered selected pieces of my artwork into one convenient location. Here's the site. More work is coming, mostly sketches at this point since I'm in the heart of it all right now, but I've managed to get some SE stuff out of my hands.

Some of my favorite SW sketches:

Merumeru

Another one of Luke, had you in mind JediPug

Boga, that beautiful creature again!

TarkinTo see the whole lot go HERE

The two sketches at the bottom ...of Jack Sparrow are two completely different cards...and are also 2.5" x 3.5" PSCs.Side note:I was not able to watch Saturday Night Live this past Saturday (March 5, 2006).

Have I heard correctly that Ms. Portman did a parody rap on her lifestyle?

Hope you like!

Leah

Those are amazing! I really love your 'sketchy' style; I'd have to say my three favorites are the Mace (2005), Padme (2006), and the Boga is fantastic as well. I like the way you captured their expressions

Yes, she did, there's a link to it on TF.N here. It's definitely not for the faint of heart or sensitive of ear. I personally don't particularly care for SNL, which I'm sure colors my opinion, but I wasn't impressed.

I like the sketch of Boga!! Can't wait to see her in glorious technicolor. She's such a cutie.

Hei Leah,
Love your site, good design and nice artwork
It seems you lived and are living the dream, Barcelona, art school, artist. Hope I could get that lucky
I love your Tarkins
I had like to know though, why is Nerf-Herders.com's background black, it is really hard to follow through and the titles on top are too close to each other. Just a suggestion for different colors and more space. I do not understand in Websites so I could be totally wrong.

Last suggestion: Please make a guestbook. I want to be the first one to sign it.

thanks for the email
Amos

Thanks everyone!

Ah, the link for Natalie, yes, I found the one from NBC yesterday. I have to tell you it was worth the watch, just to see her out of her normal "sweetness", I laughed hard.

I'll probably have the Boga done next week, other projects going on.

Isharsia, thanks for the suggestions!
I tried other backgrounds and disliked them. There are only three people (including you) I know of who have had difficulties in seeing the color scheme. It's due to your computer or monitor as someone told me once, some monitors just don't pick stuff up like others do. I've tried from several different PCs, laptops, Macs all over and haven't had any difficulties. I'm sorry if you're having problems seeing it though.

I won't be adding a guestbook, you're the first to request that! I have the submissions and comments page which works for me. Thanks again!
