Ralph McQuarrie and George Lucas are basically the only two who made Star Wars. How old is Ralph McQuarrie anyways. Anyways, Happy Birthday.

Darth Vader
Meditation Chamber

date Posted: Jun 13, 2006 6:45 PM
George had this new Galaxy inside his head, but Mr. McQuarrie brought it to life and his work was crutial for the saga.

If it wasn't for him and his wonderful illustrations, SW mat have never happened.

Happy birthday Mr. McQuarrie!

joe corroney
Drawing in the Empire

date Posted: Jun 23, 2006 3:54 PM
I actually met him at the Chicago Comic Con in 1995. I walked up to his table anxious to meet him and stood in line waiting my turn. It was a short wait though so when I found myself suddenly standing before him to shake his hand I just froze. All of those years of studying those Art of Star Wars books as a kid and a student in college were just flashing before my eyes. I eventually mumbled to him a thank you for all of the years of inspiration and I told him he was my favorite Star Wars artist of all time. I bought a poster of his concept art (Vader and Luke fighting with lightsabers on Cloud City) and had him autograph it. I walked away with one of my favorite memories from that convention experience
Happy Birthday, Mr. McQuarrie!Nerf-Herders Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16550460007979777392noreply@blogger.com
