Dixon, Malcolm

Malcolm Dixon

Malcolm Dixon was born in September 1953 to Mr. Dixon and Mrs. Dixon (née Ross) in West Hartlepool, Durham, England, UK. He was the youngest (and shortest) of seven tall brothers (his grandfather was 6' 7").  His parents died when he was young, and he has outlived all his brothers.

Dixon worked on his parents' poultry farm until the egg industry changed, he was also a floral artist for a time, and was leaning towards civil service, when he was discovered by a talent agent who was keen on Dixon's talents with ice skates at the Durham Ice Rink.  After auditioning for the agent he landed a part in an ice show at Empire Pool, Wembley.

Dixon is married to Anita Dixon (a former performer, now gov't worker) and they have two children, a daughter and a son, who are grown with children of their own.
