Peter Serafinowicz Does Hollywood

This just in...
Peter Serafinowicz (voice of Darth Maul) has produced, and his brother James directed, a short film parody of the Oscar statuette. Peter also has a couple of parts in the film. Some may recognize Sarah Alexander (Susan Walker from Coupling) as Al Pacino's arm candy.
Take a look!

Enjoy it!
Leah

I'm the first peep to reply to this! Amazing!
That is so brilliant, Serafinowicz is a top bloke - but then, anyone even vaguely associated with Shaun of the Dead is - and anyway, he played Tim Bisley's nemesis Duane in Spaced.

"You shot me in the bollocks"
"Like I said, no hard feelings."

That short is so spot on, his McCartney impression is fantastic, watch SOTD's outtakes for a scene between him and uber-Star Wars fan Simon Pegg, where they act out a scene as Macca and Michael Caine.

Cheers Leah, that's going straight on Lightsabre!

Agreed! I absolutely love this film...love, love, love! You have no idea how surprised I was when I discovered Peter was the voice of Darth Maul. I had seen Shaun a bunch of times already and always felt a strange sense of familiarity whenever he spoke (Like that time we stayed up all night drinking apple schnapps and playing Tekken 2. Oh yeah! When was that? That was five years ago. When's he going home?). Okay, I know I'm slow - but when I hit upon this, it made watching it all the more fun. Excellent movie; I'm going to have to watch it again soon. Thanks for the reminder!

Yep, Shaun of the Dead was very enjoyable. Another Star Wars alum plays in the film too. Salo Gardner, really cool facial features, plays a zombie...of course.
I'm so surprised there's not much info out there on Serafinowicz, as well-known as he seems to be he's a slight enigma. I'm sure he likes it that way, haha!

I was hoping to get to see the the little film when I heard about it. Glad I found it. Reminded me why I liked SoD too.

hehe

I've not seen them but he's received great reviews...at least from what I've read. I'd love to get hold of them somehow. It's all a matter of "eventually", isn't it?

Look Around You is genius, and again it took a while to realise that it was Pete.
O! is amazing. For anyone wanting to watch it, click here - I've got it embedded on the front page in a neat google player.
Oh, and scroll down to read a little about this blogs hostess - you've been made much of young Leah!

Peter Serafinowicz and Christopher Guest are a lot alike, they seem to blend into their roles so that you don't recognize them at first...but they seem super familiar. It's as if they change their face when they act each role...if that makes any sense.
