This is the first picture I've ever seen that finally shows Gilda Cohen with other actors from the cantina sequence. She is obviously wearing the Kabe (Bat Alien) outfit in this photo.

It is well known that Gilda was either claustrophobic or the heat of the Kabe mask was unbearable to her and she ultimately forfeited the role.

I think it's safe to say this photo is probably from about the first or second day of the 2nd unit shoot back in April of 1976. I reason that after a few more days the novelty would have worn off to the actors involved.

Kabe was eventually played by Rusty Goffe, with Barry Gnome filling in for him for a single day.

The actor most often confused for being Gilda Cohen, Geoffrey Moon, was actually linked to the character that was originally slated by John Mollo to be played by Gilda, Little Aunt Beru, through internal Lucafilm documents stored in the archives.

Pablo Hidalgo made this announcement at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. - "Secrets of the Mos Eisley Cantina Panel" on 17, April, 2015 when a fan renamed Little Aunt Beru as Damono Deomaley. The document indicated that it was indeed Geoff Moon and not Gilda Cohen who wore the Little Aunt Beru costume on set.

This brings us back to the biggest mystery. Have any documents or photos actually surfaced of Gilda Cohen on the set? Ultimately, with three different actors playing the same character, it's hard to say whose performance was used in the final cut. If Gilda wasn't Little Aunt Beru, and she wasn't Kabe, did they offer her another part we don't know of?
