Miscellany
Younger brother Tim was also a DJ in Los Angeles.

*McGovern did voice work on George Lucas's THX-1138, as an announcer.  According to George Lucas, McGovern was late for a Saturday session of recording at Lucas' home studio and Lucas recalled McGovern's excuse as, "I had an accident, I ran over my pet Wookey"  Obviously the term stuck with Lucas who used the word to name the species of Han Solo's co-pilot, Chewbacca (So, one could say, technically, that Wookiee is a THX-1138 reference.)  As it happens, Wookey is the last name of McGovern's best friend, Bill Wookey, who was driving with McGovern to the recording session that day.
